Erin Go Bragh meaning 'Ireland forever'.
The Erin go Bragh flag is believed to have been first used in 1847 by a group of Irish volunteers, including U.S. Army deserters, joined the Mexican side in the Mexican-American war.
These soldiers, known as Los San Patricios or Saint Patricks Batallion, flew as their standard a green flag with a harp on it, with the motto "Erin Go Bragh".
Since then the Erin Go Bragh flag has become an emblem of Irish Republicans.
